Our 5 Step Research Process

E-TRIALS is a tool to conduct research at scale within authentic learning environments by leveraging ASSISTments' content and sample population

      • Develop an intervention to study
      • To use the WPI Subject Pool, submit your idea to WPI
      • Create your Problem Set content in ASSISTments
      • Build your study using our Template Tool, or traditional building methods
  • Have your study approved and made "Certified" for teachers and students
  • Ask about ways to deliver using LMS and direct links
      • Use the data request form to access your data from ALI, the Assessment of Learning Infrastructure
      • Merge covariates, process your data, and interpret default analyses and beyond
      • Write up your results and submit for publication
      • If you pre-registered your study (you should have) this step is nearly done!
